I am about to go to a 50s virtual prom. Is the corsage overkill? The hair?
I’m also thinking about not wearing my glasses, just like with real prom in high school, which I barely remember because I couldn’t see it.
Another Ingenue wig and dress (“High Society”), although I nearly went with Ivalde. Necklace is by Icing.
Edit: Showed up in the same dress as someone else. Switched to Ivalde.
A word from a newcomer about SL’s culture of fashion: I remember the first time I asked someone about what she was wearing (last month), and she politely replied, “Thank you. It’s an Ivalde.” At the time I thought that was so funny—as if “it’s an Ivalde” were like saying, matter-of-factly, “it’s an Oleg Cassini”—but, in a (virtual) world where so much joy is paper-doll-dress-up and everything is affordable, I have absolutely succumbed to virtual label whoredom.
